yep that clearly looks like the finest dirt layer I've seen in game. Nice work.

the crazy number of half-baked badly designed tracks and constantly updating version numbers so online races can sync up, thats what puts me off. Quality control has gone out the window.

I think what you've done to the XFR looks really good, only a bit more needed front and along bottom side skirts maybe.

I think either are probably equally applicable

Send it over to me to have a look at, I do guitar setups for band friends round the area. Maybe you are better off adding a bit of tension to the neck to get the action better. I can do you a nice fret level too if you want, and set it up real sweet

I might be interested in a cheap bass amp btw...

Quote from thisnameistaken :I invented the "noise woggle". It's a small cylindrical piece of plastic that you put under your speakers and it eliminates any part of the sound that you don't like. Would you like to buy one for only £279.99?
No really, it works, come and listen to it in action in The Emperor's New Booth.

I use some circles cut out of dense rubber mouse mat as vibration isolation feet for all my components. I have some very expensive Quad speakers, an Arcam CD player and Rotel amplifier as the main Hi Fi, then I have someJVC and Sony mini systems in other rooms of the house.
The main hi fi was a present to myself when I returned to uk from my ex-pat time in Saudi, I figured it would be the only time I could afford to treat myself to such a system

That's great work. Can I suggest you start a new thread for Kyoto track texture updates and preview shout + comments? Let's leave this one as Blackwood-related stuff?

I recall hearing some time last year that an LFS crack or a potential one had a virus attached, it was before the time of patch V.

Rather cunningly all the track dds textures are stored inside a folder cleverly called dds. Open this up and fire up photoshop. We shall look forward to a rainbow tarmac mod from you.

I think we've covered all angles of this fascinating debate here now. Next up, a dog that skateboards.

Demo users are exercising their right to freedom of choice. They play and hopefully enjoy the demo version freely provided for them. Don't have a go at them for playing and enjoying some stripped down version that's provided free. If you want to have a go at anyone, then have a go at the people who invented the game and decided to share a bit of it for free. It beats me why any S2 member would feel resentment at those people who still get pleasure from the demo, how onearth can it affect their own lives?
I don't mind demo users asking for more. Ask away, you probably won't get anything but there's no harm asking, in a way that is non-offensive.
To a very small minority of smug lynch-mob s2 members: why do you feel the need to be so offensive to Scawen's potential next customers? It just shows yourselves up in a very negative light. Now you may not care one jot about that but ask yourself if you honestly feel you are contributing positively to this community here by this attitude? If not, then please keep your attitudes to yourselves, we don't need it here.
these comments are not aimed at any one person, please be clear, but a tiny minority mindset that I would rather go back to screaming at eachother over other games.

Quote from Renku :I couldn't fint the old "ridiculously massive debate" thread from last year. I only managed to find this small one: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=12893

The ridiculously massive one went into the bin where it belonged
Your link points to the abridged, exciting version.

There was a ridiculously massive debate about this last year. Please let's not resurrect that entire discussion thread once more, it's as dull and pointless today as it was originally.

Quote :I wanted to get bitten by a radioactive trombone but I haven't been able to radioactivise one enough to make it bite yet.

This could be where the imminent polarity reversal of the earth's magnetic fields lends a hand then. As the polarities reach zero point and the Gauss drops away we'll get flooded with cosmic gamma radiation. If you hold your trombone up above your head on a high mountain at the point of reversal it will certainly become critically radioactive then you can fulfill yuor true destiny.

Where on earth do you get this stuff from?

Have I missed something here. An amateur explorer states some off-the-wall bunkum about cosmic radiation controlling human mind patterns and everyone has to rush round defending why it is not so?
Surely before this stuff is believed, there has to be some rational proof and discussion of the mechanisms involved? In my view it is not so, until evidence and investigation has shown it to be so.

Quote :there is not much evidence, some say that speeds over speed of light are slowing time,..

Oh, I thought there was huge reams of evidence in its favour now, so that even the more sceptical accept it. Super-accelerated particles with known half-lives far exceeding (tens of hundreds of times longer) their natural lifespan when observed in chambers where they are accelerated closer to light speed. Have I misunderstood this?
