I recently returned from a business trip to india, 4 hour journey from Mumbai airport right through the city and up about 150km into Gujarat.
I can clearly say that driving through Mumbai is the most harrowing time I have ever spent in a car, and I thought 5 years of saudi drivers was stressful. At least speed is not an issue in India, most cars seem to pootle around at 10 mph, so if you do hit something it doesn't hurt much. Every now and then you come across a dead cow or a still smouldering wreck of an overturned lorry.
mediamonkey seems to work fine on all levels. Itunes still tries to boot up when i plug in my ipod, but all the songs from 2 ipods plus my philips hdd have been dragged off them and onto my PC's HD, from where I can decide which get copied back onto the different machines.
Got an email the other day at work about things only the bravest men say. The only one I can remember is the one where he comes in to the bedroom very late at night smelling of whiskey and someone else's perfume, with someone else's lipstick on his collar. Wife looks up from bed reproachfully. Before she opens her mouth he slaps her on the rump and says "You're next, fatty."
Anyway, back onto the topic, maybe we should ask the devs, do they feel sore or cheated when a small minority of the community (next potential customers) get fun from the demo? When the small minority continue to have fun at their own level with the limited content? Live and let live. If they ask for more content the devs will say "No, buy the full game if you want more". Fair enough, argument ended. Why oh why are S2 players so resentful of the small slice of demo users that are happy to dip in and out of the game racing XFG's round BL1 all day? What difference can it possibly make to the full S2 users own enjoyment of the game?
I get really tired of this continual bickering. It will continue for another few posts then someone will step over the mark and the thread will be locked and binned, then another one will pop up in 3 days time
Thanks for the constructive advice.
Mediamonkey works well, it allows me to take the files back off the ipod, store and play them on the pc and transfer to the second ipod, mix them with mp3 tracks from my 20gig philips hdd player, back up all the stuff on all three and wake me up with a cup of tea and warm bagel in the morning too. Great value for money. It's free.
Total Konfusion wins todays' award for his advice. Theres a Czech in the post. Thanks!
I had a quick look at the Floola site, it claims you can copy back off ipod onto pc, be good to hear if anyone has actually tested this though. Maybe I'll try it out tonight.
Not a huge fan of the ipods although they look cool, I got a 4gig one free on Lufthansa air miles and won a 1gig one last Xmas at a school raffle
right on the button sir. Sad but true. Theres minority activists in every walk of life that get a bizz out of spoiling stuff for other people. that's as true for S2 users as it is for demo users. Luckily they remain a minority and LFS has a very strong and loyal following, for the most part it remains self-policing but occasionally a bit of mob-rule takes over and we have to get the water cannon out
This part of the forum is sort of supposed to be for screenshots of lfs, you know, race cars, action, exciting duals, crashes in silly places, not pets corner really.
Anyone know about ipod & itunes? Since having a total HD failure and reinstall of windows, everything erased from my HD's I want to rinstate my Ipod music back onto the HD.
The ipod does not seem to want to do it even though the new pc (as it seems to the ipod) has been 'authorised'.
I'm not very au fait with the ipod software so any help is greatly appreciated, but please laymens terms and slow obvious steps are needed!
the crazy number of half-baked badly designed tracks and constantly updating version numbers so online races can sync up, thats what puts me off. Quality control has gone out the window.
Send it over to me to have a look at, I do guitar setups for band friends round the area. Maybe you are better off adding a bit of tension to the neck to get the action better. I can do you a nice fret level too if you want, and set it up real sweet
